Borbála Dobozy, claveciniste Née à Budapest, Borbála Dobozy commence ses études supérieures de clavecin auprès de Zuzana Ruzicková à Bratislava puis à l'Académie de Musique de Prague où elle obtient son premier diplôme avec distinction. |

Dobozy was born in Budapest. She began her further harpsichord studies with Zuzana Ruzicková in Bratislava then continued at the Prague Music Academy (also with her) where she gained her diploma with distinction. For the next few years she pursued postgraduate studies, first at the Salzburg Mozarteum with Liselotte Brandle, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Johann Sonnleitner she studied so-called „historical” performance practice. There she gained her second diploma again with distinction. Following this she spent a year at the Music Academy of Zurich studying under guidance of Johann Sonnleitner. In 1983 she was a prize-winner of the international harpsichord competition in Bruges (Belgium). She has given concerts in almost every country in Europe and in USA and made radio and disc recordings. She was professor for harpsichord at the Music Academy of Szeged (Hungary) through years and has held harpsichord courses on several occasions in Hungary, Belorussia, Norway and Jugoslavia. In 1992 with her CD recording (Gottlieb Muffat: Componimenti musicali per il cembalo) she won the renowned award of the German Record Critics in Hamburg. She sat at the Jury of the international harpsichord-competitions in Leipzig (2000) and in Bruges (2001). She is invited by "Festes de thalie" since 2004. |
